PERCIVIA Development Center, LLC is engaged
in the fundamental and applied research on the use of PER.C6® cells
as a technology platform for the mass production of recombinant therapeutic
proteins.
PERCIVIA provides technology transfer and technical support to the
users of PER.C6® platform
throughout the world.
PERCIVIA is the joint venture
between DSM Biologics (a division of DSM
Pharmaceutical Products),
a leading contract manufacturing organization for the pharmaceutical
industry, and Crucell N.V.,
a biotechnology company developing vaccine and recombinant protein products.
Both companies have joined forces to promote the use of the PER.C6® platform
for the large-scale production of recombinant therapeutic proteins.
Marco Cacciuttolo, Chief Executive Officer of PERCIVIA
Dr. Cacciuttolo has over ten years of experience
in technical operations within the biotech and pharmaceutical industries.
He has occupied positions of increasing responsibility at MedImmune, Inc.,
and most recently at Medarex, Inc. as the Vice President of Technical Operations.
Dr. Cacciuttolo received his Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering from the
University of Maryland, Baltimore County and his B.S. in Biochemical Engineering
from the Catholic University of Valparaiso, Valparaiso, Chile.
